diane's 100 days: Day 80: cataplasm

I was recently guided to the 100 Days Project but unfortunately I missed the registration deadline by 10 minutes for this year's event commencing on 9th June 2013. Everyone else who did register in time are posting their daily efforts here http://100daysproject.co.nz/

I have decided that it's a worthwhile artistic exercise and am going to participate in the process by myself, posting the outcomes here. My theme is words containing 'cat' and I have found 1731 of them so I should not be stuck for choice. I will randomly choose a word each day and then try to depict it. My chosen format is 12.5cm x 12.5cm pages with a 1cm border all round and these folios will be coptic bound into a journal at the end of the project. In aiming for simplicity I am limiting myself to drawing only with a Duke 209 fountain pen (fitted with a calligraphic nib which enables thick and thin lines) filled with Noodlers Lexington Gray ink, a red pencil accent somewhere on each page.

This project is a tribute to my recently and suddenly departed beloved cat Bella, and she will feature when I get to #100.
